Taking a look into Literature
Since I have been horribily busy, I am writing this a little late, but I am sort of glad I took the time, to wait a little bit, because even though the assignment says to write about authors in the first two weeks, my favorite author I most say I have learned about in this course, would be maya angelou. It is almost like she speaks to me, after reading her poems, sometimes I am speachless, because she has said it all, and you can't put anymore into it, or I can rap about it with my classmates, because I felt like I was there in the poem, and I want to share how I feel about it all. Maya Angelou is a black woman who grew up back in the day where whites and blacks still were at each others throats. Maya grew up in her grandmothers shop, where she saw a lot of things, and grew some memories. Maya was rapped, and I'm not sure of all the details, but I believe this makes her who she is today. I connect with Maya more than I do any other authors, because I have gone thru some of what she has, and when she writes, I understand more than I do any other poem, because sometimes I feel like she writes to me, or about me.A bit silly, yes, but now I can say I've recieved something out of this course. Maya writes from her heart, and you can feel that. I have read some of her poems with my classmates in class, and two poems really caught my eye. I rise, and Caged bired. Though I believe she wrote these peoms with her own past memories, but I see a lot of the same issues happening in the present and more to come in the future. What maya understands, I believe is, there is so so much hate in this world, and i can't bare to see it anymore, but what can you do, but change who you are, and try to be a better you, but else can you do. I think Maya writes, and hopes people are inspired by her writing, and maybe they will see change, and the trend may be passed on. I can't stand to watch the news, and see the violence that goes on, I can't stand to hear another child being abused sexually, and physically. I don't understand where people get off by this. It makes me sick, and for me to be a part of this society, and to be called an American, sometimes makes me sick, because there is so much hate. To be apart of the abuse, and no what it feels like, i do understand some of maya poems, because I to felt the hate. Well, enough of me blabbing on, my next author that I think is meaningful is Tennesee Williams, I'm enjoying his story The Glass Menagerie. His writing is very detailed and he captures who the characters are, and you can visualize who they are. I enjoy reading his work because it flows pretty easily and it is easy to read. I enjoy the conflicts that are going on in the Wingfields family, and I am eager to see what happens next.

Blog 2 week one
Basketball represents escape from reality. When I play basketball all my worries disappear and the only thing that matter is me and the ball. As I play harder and harder, and the sweat drips, I feel free and freer i get.Week One Blog
It was hard seeing my mother struggle growing up, but seeing her today makes me a stronger person. I didn't live much of a child hood, because of the struggles I faced growing up. So, I grew up fast and next thing I know I am 22 years old and a whole life ahead of me.
